DevLAB collects together students from different fields of study and creates interdisciplinary teams that develop a concept and create a demo. Project ideas focus on health, wellbeing, environment and technology. Students can earn up to 30 ECTS in a semester-long project. All LABs are taught in English and are full-time studies.
The programme is suitable for 3rd or 4th year Bachelor's students and Master's level students of health care, social services, rehabilitation, engineering, graphic design, ICT/programming, business/marketing, performing arts and natural resourses. THE LAB EXPERIENCE
The DevLAB curriculum focuses on developing the 21st Century Skills of a Self-aware Future Professional.
The first part of the LAB is a rapid concept design process with Design Thinking and learning the basics of working in interdisciplinary teams. The next stage is dedicated to prototype and business development with Lean Startup. By working in an interdisciplinary team each student is refining his or her skills based in the role in the team. Each team in the LAB creates and validates a demo and a business model. Teams work in a entrepreneurial-like mode and are supported by a group of coaches and tutors. Prototypes can take on a number of different forms such as applications or services.
Those who have completed the DevLAB can continue on to Product Path for one more semester. In Product Path, teams continue to develop their products, aiming for a more complete product or a service.
